    I always found it fascinating how people have different coping mechanisms or emotional needs when it comes to music. On one hand, when sad, some people look for a sense of validation in the music they listen to, therefore they like to listen to sad music that can help them process and express their feelings, allowing them to acknowledge and work through their sadness.

    On the other hand, other people enjoy listening to happy or upbeat music when they are feeling sad as it serves as a distraction that can uplift their mood. In other words, for this group of people, listening to happy music can provide a temporary escape from their sadness and help them shift focus to more positive thoughts or experiences.

    So my curiosity is, which type of music do you listen to when you are in a sad mood?

    Definitely happy music! When feeling sad, I lean towards happy music for a mood boost and distraction.. but I agree that a lot of people act the other way round..

    I instead tend to listen to sad music when I feel that way. I like to listen to something that I can relate to in that moment and that helps me think about what I am feelings. This helps me going through these hard moments.

    When I am sad, I usually listen to music that resonates with my feelings because I want to give myself enough time to deal with this emotion.

    Hey, when I feel sad, stressed or anxious I love to listen to calm music that reminds me of a certain period of my life: for example I will play some music that I associated with a good memory so that I can remember myself the enjoyable time I had with my friends than ovethinking every aspect of my life. On the other hand, sometimes I choose to listen to energizing music that makes my body wanting to get up and dance, becuase dancing for sure relieves my stress.🤩
