Overview |
The activity is designed to awaken participants’ creativity and to instill confidence, encouraging them to tap into their authentic selves and share unique perspectives with the group. No specific materials are needed for this activity. The mentor initiates the activity with a simple rhythmic pattern conveyed through body movement or vocal expression. The facilitator, who becomes the first participant, mirrors the rhythmic pattern, and each participant in the circle builds upon the foundation set by the previous member. This iterative process unfolds in multiple rounds, allowing participants to explore different facets of their creativity. |

Preparation |
To set up the venue and prepare for the activity successfully, ensure that there is enough empty space in the middle of the venue for participants to stand, forming a circle. |
Implementation |
- The mentor, positioned at the heart of the circle, initiates the activity with a simple rhythmic pattern conveyed through either body movement or vocal expression. The atmosphere must be light and inviting, setting the stage for self-expression.
- Seated alongside the mentor, the facilitator becomes the first participant, mirroring the rhythmic pattern initiated by the mentor. Building upon the foundation set by the mentor, the assistant introduces an additional layer to the evolving pattern. This iterative process continues, with each participant of the circle picking up the baton from the previous member, extending the rhythmic narrative, and introducing their own creative twist.
- The activity unfolds in multiple rounds, allowing participants to explore different facets of their creativity and engage with the evolving patterns. The fluidity of the exercise ensures that everyone has the opportunity to contribute, fostering a sense of inclusivity and reinforcing the idea that every individual voice is a valuable part of the collective creative tapestry.
