The art-based pilot workshop aimed to support NEETs, young individuals aged 18-30, who may be struggling emotionally. Through the activities, participants learned new techniques to deal with emotional issues while engaging in a creative process. The activities for the day were based on the scenarios outlined in the Comusyc Toolkit. The 4 categories of the Toolkit represent common difficulties and frustrating daily situations youngsters experience in their everyday life. Workshop art-based activities involving music, such as painting or drawing, were developed with the help of experienced art therapist Sophie Descampe. The activities helped participants to cope with their emotions and to let them go out through art.
Overall, thanks to the workshop, participants managed to go through their personal emotional issues and bring them back into the art form.
